Strategic Research and Development Center of Georgia gives young people the opportunity to become change initiators! If you are 18-29 years old, live in Georgia and you see social and environmental challenges in your area and want to make a significant contribution to solving them. Then join the Young Ambassadors Program.
The program of young ambassadors is carried out within the framework of the project “Development of social entrepreneurship for a sustainable and inclusive society”, which is implemented by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) with the support of the European Union and Bread for the World.
By creating a favorable environment for social entrepreneurship, the project is a unique opportunity to solve socio-economic challenges in the society and protect the fundamental rights of people. Active involvement of young people is important in the development of social entrepreneurship. Within the framework of the project, the priority is to inform young people and increase their interest in social entrepreneurship.
Aims
The aim of the Young Ambassadors Program is to:
- Introducing social entrepreneurship to young people and increasing their interest in this direction
- Involvement of young people in solving social and environmental challenges around them by raising awareness of social entrepreneurship
- Finding young leaders in the field of social entrepreneurship and for them Creating different opportunities
- Development of young people’s skills in managing grants and dealing with donor in the direction of communication and other practical activities

- Finding young ambassadors and encouraging them with small financial support (700 EUR) to promote social entrepreneurship in their regions
Program Stages
- Summer school
- The young people selected as a result of the competition will attend a summer school in Saguramo, at Sevsamora Hotel, within the framework of which, for 5 days:
- They will get to know the essence and importance of social entrepreneurship in the public sector in solving environmental challenges;
- they will get to know the possibilities for young people in social entrepreneurship;
- They will work together with mentors to solve the problems around them on the roads
- Participants will visit various social purpose enterprises, meet social entrepreneurs, learn about their activities and take part in on-site thematic workshops.
- will undergo practical training for the small project competition, including improving communications, information dissemination and other necessary skills.
- The school will be held on May 15-19. All participants will be given a certificate of participation.
- The young people selected as a result of the competition will attend a summer school in Saguramo, at Sevsamora Hotel, within the framework of which, for 5 days:
- Project competition
- After finishing the school, the participants will participate in the competition of small projects, the purpose of which is to spread information about social entrepreneurship in the regions and raise the awareness of the population. Entrants to submit projects for the competition will be given a 2-week period to develop ideas, gather associates, define an action plan and strategy, and present initiatives to obtain financial support.
- At the idea development stage, participants will have the opportunity to meet with mentors, introduce the project writing process, receive advice and recommendations from them on the issues of project improvement and presentation to the competition commission.
- As a result of the project competition, 6 young ambassadors will be selected, who will receive financial support to inform even more people about the impact of social entrepreneurship in their region.
Eligibility Criteria
- The program is open to all interested, motivated, action-oriented people who are driven by the desire and interest to solve the societal and environmental challenges around them.
- Young people aged 18-29 from all over Georgia can participate in the program.
- The costs of participating in the program are fully financed by the support of the European Union and Bread for the World.
- The program includes a summer school on social entrepreneurship and a project competition.
- A total of 20-25 young people will be selected to participate in the summer school, who will participate in the project competition after completing the school.
- Public/volunteer activity experience
Details
- Information meetings and seminars will be held in physical spaces – Gori, Telavi, Batumi, Ozurgeti, in Zugdidi and Kutaisi. An online meeting via Zoom will also be held to engage other young people across Georgia
- Information meetings and seminars discuss:
- the essence of social entrepreneurship;
- important problems for the society, in the solution of which social entrepreneurship plays an important role;
- Social entrepreneurship as a perspective for young people in the process of career development;
- History and experience of active social enterprises from entrepreneurs;
- Young ambassadors program: conditions and opportunities for participation for young people
