Deadline: 03-Oct-2025
Wildlife Habitat Canada provides funding through the sale of the Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp and Print (CWHS) program to support meaningful conservation projects across Canada. These funds are directed toward efforts that help preserve and enhance wildlife habitats.
Applicants can request a minimum of $1,000 per project. The maximum amount available per application for each program year is $150,000.
The program is open to a wide range of Canadian recipients. Eligible applicants include Canadian residents, not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous organizations, wildlife management boards, academic institutions, and educational institutions. It also includes for-profit organizations such as small businesses and industry associations, as well as local groups like community associations, youth or seniors’ groups, and service clubs. Government bodies at the provincial, territorial, municipal, or local level are also eligible.
However, certain applicants are not eligible. This includes international organizations or individuals, as well as those affiliated with the federal government—such as employees, departments, agencies, and crown corporations.
