Deadline: 1-Apr-23
Pro Helvetia is pleased to launch a call for applications for COMPASS Project to support emerging companies with initial guest performance experience in developing strategies and work structures for their international touring activities.
COMPASS is aimed at emerging Swiss compagnies whose work focuses on Switzerland and who have already received support by Pro Helvetia for guest performances.
COMPASS enables four companies a year to plan international tours in cooperation with experienced persons or institutions, to strengthen their international network, develop a touring strategy and set up the structure accordingly.
There are numerous platforms in Switzerland for initial or short productions by emerging companies, or for participation in national residency or touring programmes. At an international level, however, emerging companies often lack the know-how needed for the negotiation and organisation of a performance tour or the financial means to develop a stable structure within the company and a long-term strategy.
