Entries are now open for ANIMA – Brussels International Animation Film Festival to promote animated films from all over the world and encourage dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public.
Categories
- Anima considers all films completed after June 2024 and belonging to the following categories as eligible for competition:
- Feature Films
- Feature Films for Children
- International Professional Short Films
- International Student Films
- International Short Films for a Young Audience
- National Short Films
Eligibility Criteria
- The Anima Festival is open to all animated films completed 18 months before the beginning of the Festival, regardless of format, origin or technique.
- A producer/director wishing to enter a film for selection must send the Festival, within the deadline, the entry form, duly completed online, along with some HD photos of the film (JPEG, 300dpi only).
- If selected, the producer/director must also send the Festival a list of dialogue and subtitles in French, Dutch and/or English in separate files.
- The Festival prefers to receive films in their original versions, except for films intended for a young audience, in which case French and/or Dutch versions are preferred.
- Films can be submitted to Anima if they correspond to the definition of animation given by the International Animated Film Association in an extraordinary General Meeting. Films using these techniques mixed with live action are also accepted.
