The Dawn Project has officially launched its 2025 Competition, titled “Generation Restoration: Shaping Our Future!”—an inspiring initiative that invites individuals to creatively express their visions for environmental restoration and a sustainable tomorrow.
The competition serves as a unique platform where participants can showcase their creativity and communicate powerful messages about restoring our planet through a range of artistic mediums.
Dedicated to combating climate change, plastic pollution, and biodiversity loss, the Dawn Project harnesses the power of artistic expression to inspire and empower people of all ages.
It welcomes a variety of creative formats such as essays, poetry, graphics, innovations, photography, and music. Regardless of artistic background or style, the competition is open to all who wish to contribute meaningfully to the global conversation on sustainability.
Participants are encouraged to let their imagination flourish while highlighting themes like ecosystem restoration, conservation, marine protection, sustainable living, reforestation, and innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
The competition also aims to raise awareness of threats such as deforestation and pollution, and to promote actionable ideas for a greener future.
Attractive prizes are offered across different age categories. Adults aged 18 and above can win prizes of N300,000, N150,000, and N100,000, while students aged 14–17 and 7–13 also have dedicated prize brackets.
Creative design and music categories, open to all ages, offer similar prize amounts with additional consolation prizes available.
To apply, contestants must submit original, unpublished work aligned with the theme. Essays and poems should not exceed 200 words, and all written entries must be thoughtful and well-structured.
Artworks and designs must visually reflect themes of restoration and sustainability. Songs should inspire action and be submitted in MP3 format. All entries must be labeled with the participant’s name, age, school or occupation, and contact details.
A completed online registration form is also required for eligibility.
