The UK Government in Brazil is looking for a consultancy with in depth knowledge of the Brazilian life sciences, R&D policies and industry to deliver a study.
The contractor will work to identify what are the key policies in place that enable the life sciences R&D sector in Brazil; map the key stakeholders in this process; analysis main policies, regulations and capacity constraints; provide insights on trends and where efforts in the future can be more impactful.
The UK Government is looking for a contractor that provides knowledge of the Brazilian health system and life sciences industry (especially vaccines and biological products), and the research and innovation environment in country.
Funding Information
Total proposal cost should be between GBP 17,000 and GBP 20,000.
Deliverables
- A written report will be submitted to the project management team in the British Consulate in São Paulo. It will include at least an Executive Summary that enables key messages to be accessible to a lay reader; problems encountered throughout the research, if any; findings and recommendations; and a references list. This should be a practical study (non-academic) on what are the main policies in place that incentivize and regulate research and innovation of vaccine and biological products. The study will:
- Identify policies and regulation in place today;
- Identify what are the main challenges faced by the sector when it comes to developing innovation in vaccines and biological products;
- Provide in sights onto how some of these challenges can be addressed.
- Alongside item I, a stakeholder-mapping document will be delivered that sets out the main players in the vaccines and biological products development context in Brazil.
Terms & Conditions
- The two project deliverables shall be submitted by 20 March 2022 after a draft is approved by the client;
- The written report should be delivered both in English and Portuguese;
- A kick-off meeting will happen to align expectations, agree on the structure of the study, make any necessary adjustments to delivery milestones and agree on main methodologies used and frequency of checkpoint meetings with client;
- Hold at least three checkpoint meetings with client.
