The Financial and Tax Literacy Directorate of ICAI in collaboration with MyGov is organizing an Essay Writing Competition to spread awareness about the growing threat of financial fraud, especially in today’s digital era.
With rapid advancements in technology, individuals are increasingly exposed to risks like phishing, identity theft, online scams, and fraudulent investment schemes. The objective is to encourage participants to think critically, spread awareness, and contribute towards building a financially vigilant society.
Essays can be written in Hindi or English and should reflect original thought, practical suggestions, and a clear understanding of the issue. Participants are encouraged to include examples, preventive tips, and insights into how individuals and communities can stay vigilant.

- 1st Position: ₹7,000
- 2nd Position: ₹5,000
- 3rd Position: ₹3,000
- Consolation Prize (6 in total): ₹1,500 each (3 for Hindi and 3 for English participants)

Application Requirements
- The competition will be in English and Hindi, both languages. Entries can be submitted in either English or Hindi.
- One participant can submit a maximum of one entry only. Once submitted, an entry cannot be withdrawn.
- The word limit for the essay is 400-500 words. The essays beyond the prescribed limit will not be considered for evaluation.
- The essay should be submitted in Word format or PDF only.
- The essay must be original and not published or submitted elsewhere.
- Plagiarized/AI entries will be disqualified.
- By submitting an entry, participants grant ICAI the right to use their essays (with due credit) for awareness and educational purposes. Non-compliance with any of the above terms will lead to disqualification.
- Use of any unfair/spurious means/malpractices, including but not limited to impersonation, double participation, etc., during the participation in the competition, will result rejection of participation.
- No copyright material should be used, and an undertaking regarding the same to be furnished. Non-furnishing of the same will render the selection null and void. Furthermore, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India reserves all rights in this regard.
