With support of the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a Public Call for Applications for prospective participants of employability training courses intended for returnees under the Readmission Agreement and the Roma.
This Public Call has been launched within the project “Strengthen National and Local Systems to Support the Effective Socio-Economic Integration of Returnees in the Western Balkans”, implemented by the UNDP and funded by the European Union within the IPA II programme “EU Support to Fundamental Rights of Roma Community and Reintegration of Returnees”.
The courses aim to provide an opportunity to vulnerable returnees, as well as to Roma women and men, to gain new knowledge and skills in order to find employment more easily.
Selected users are entitled to support that includes:
- Trainings for the development of personal and professional skills are trainings for advancement skills a business communications i presentations , self-confidence , assertiveness , as i ability solutions different challenges and the like . Participants who will be selected to participate in this training program in 2022, will attend two training modules in the municipality from which they come.
- Trainings for the development of digital skills are trainings for occupations, identified as the most sought after in the labor market in the information technology industry, namely: WordPress ; Scrum; QA Software Tester; DeVoPs , but also for acquiring basic information technology skills . Participants who will be selected to participate in this training program in 2022, will choose the offered digital skills for which they want to attend the training.
- Vocational courses and trainings are vocational training programs through which participants acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for certain trades and occupations, these include: courses in mechanical engineering, courses in woodworking, electrical engineering courses, beauty care courses, etc. Participants who will be selected to participate in this training program in 2022, will choose the offered professional skills for which they want to attend the training.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants are unemployed Roma persons and Returnees from vulnerable or hard-to-employ groups, residing in the territories of Novi Sad, Bujanovac or Valjevo.
Criteria
The right to participate in the training program can be exercised by the user provided :
- that he is a returnee under the Readmission Agreement and
- that he is a member of the Roma national community and
- that he belongs to one of the most vulnerable or difficult to employ social categories and
- that he is an unemployed person.
