The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine invites you to join the regional forum “Living on the Edge of Peace”, which this year is timed to develop a culture of volunteering and how volunteer initiatives contribute to the growth and development of communities eastern Ukraine affected by the conflict.
Representatives of the most successful volunteer initiatives from all over Ukraine will share experiences and hold thematic online workshops for forum participants.
Topics
The event will take place in an interactive form, as participants will be able to choose which online workshop to join. The forum will focus on the following key topics:
- how to develop a culture of volunteering;
- how to combine volunteer initiatives with government programs and cooperate in synergy;
- how to implement long-term and sustainable initiatives;
- how to effectively solve social problems through volunteering;
- how to build effective communication for the successful implementation of volunteer initiatives;
- how to promote volunteerism in a COVID-19 pandemic;
- how to deal with psychological burnout among volunteers.
After the panel discussions and online workshops, participants will be able to enjoy the music of the Ukrainian band US Orkestra.
The forum is organized by UNDP within the framework of the United Nations Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding with the financial support of the governments of Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden and the European Union.
