Deadline: 28-Nov-2025
The Bereavement Development Grant offers a once-off award to groups of organisations working collaboratively to enhance bereavement support services within a specific geographical region.
The focus of the grant is to encourage and support collaborative bereavement developments at a local or regional level among organisations that provide some level of bereavement support and operate within the same area, such as a county or CHO region.
This grant provides funding up to a maximum value of €1,000. Groups applying must consist of at least six organisations, all of which provide some level of bereavement support to adults and/or families through activities such as information, peer support, or counselling. At least 50% of the participating organisations must be non-governmental, and all must demonstrate transparent governance. NGOs must also be registered with the Charity Regulator.
Applicants with project budgets exceeding €1,000 may still apply but must indicate their total required budget and explain how they intend to meet the shortfall. This program is designed to strengthen local collaboration and capacity within the bereavement support sector.
