Deadline: 15 May 2019
The British Academy/Wolfson Fellowships form a major new joint initiative between the Wolfson Foundation and the British Academy to support the next generation of research and engagement leaders in the humanities and social sciences.
These awards are designed to celebrate and empower early-career researchers who show exceptional talent in both research and public engagement, emphasising and demonstrating the importance of academic research and creative thought at a time of rapid political and societal change.
These awards provide early-career academics with the most valuable commodity – time – by releasing them from some of their administration and teaching duties to pursue their research, along with funding for public engagement and travel.
Funding Information
- The grant maximum is £130,000 across three years.
- Awards can be used flexibly: at least £90,000 for time buy out, and up to £40,000 for research and travel expenses and dissemination of findings.
