Applications are open for “The Spiritual Ecology Fellowship” with an aim to support its mission to create a future where universal spiritual values form the foundation of how we care for our common home.
The fellowship is designed to offer an experience of deep study and practical application of the principles of spiritual ecology. The central component of the fellowship will be the development and implementation of pilot projects that have the potential to be catalysts for change.
Benefits
The program will offer project support in the following ways:
- Workshops and classes with teachers and mentors exploring the principles of spiritual ecology
- Following each short retreat, fellows are aided through online mentorship and peer support, which includes assistance with the development and implementation of projects.
- A $10,000 dollar stipend will be provided to each fellow in two installments during the course of the fellowship. The stipend is provided to fellows to assist in implementing a pilot project during the course of nine-month fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria
- Emerging young leaders and innovators who recognize the need to create a future that is not driven by materialism and greed, but rooted in the spiritual values of interconnectedness, service, stewardship and reverence for nature are eligible to apply.
- Applicants should be between the ages of 22-30.
- Only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are eligible for consideration.
- Project ideas may be for any nonprofit or social/environmental benefit, and must be for a charitable, scientific, religious, literary, or educational purpose. Projects do not need to have 501(c)(3) status to be eligible.
- Priority will given to applicants who present projects that have a high likelihood of being brought to fruition, demonstrate strong leadership skills and have relevant work experience.
