The International Journalists Programme is seeking applications for the German-Asian Fellowship.
For 2021, bursaries for journalists from South Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan will be awarded, taking into account the Corona travel restrictions that apply in autumn 2021.
Funding Information
All delegates of the programme receive a one-off payment of 4,000 Euro from IJP. This should cover most travel, food and accommodation expenses as well as health insurance. Payment by the host media is not to be expected.
Eligibility Criteria
- Journalists between the age of 25 to 45 years, who regularly contribute to newspapers, TV and radio media as well as online services, can apply. Very good English language skills (Toefl) and a strong interest in learning the German language are an important precondition for the application.
- IJP offer a unique opportunity for up to five journalists working in Indonesia – South Korea – Japan – Hongkong or Taiwan.
Prerequisites
To qualify, the applicants should be between 28 to 45 years of age, should currently be working as full-time journalists in the above mentioned countries, should be fluent in English (TOEFL) and have at least five years of working experience in reporting.
