The Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Scholarship for Regional and Rural Students 2023 is now open for applications to assist disadvantaged, community minded students.
Aims
- The scholarship / bursary / award / prize (The Scholarship program) aims to assist disadvantaged students from a rural or regional area, who have been offered a full-time place at an Australian university or college for the first time in 2023.
- The Scholarship program supports the following study related expenses – accommodation costs, course costs, study-related materials/equipment, textbooks, tutoring and /or education related travel (within Australia).
Funding Information
- The Scholarship award value is $6,500 per year for two years for each successful recipient, subject to the criteria set out below and satisfactory academic performance in the first year of study.
Eligibility Criteria
- You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident from a rural or regional location;
- You will be a first-time, first year undergraduate in 2023 – this is your first attendance at university/college;
- You will be studying on campus for a full-time bachelor’s degree in an approved Australian course at an Australian university or college campus;
- You graduated from secondary school in either 2022 or in 2021 (you took a gap year);
- You can demonstrate the disadvantage (economic &/or social) hindering your ability to undertake tertiary education; and
- You can demonstrate community involvement.
