The KARM Fellowship aspires to foster a community of financially independent, compassionate, driven women who are committed to becoming enablers and change leaders in communities of their choice.
The overarching theme for envisioning KARM Fellowship is Education-to make it valuable, accessible and empowering.
Enabling this vision are the following pillars:
- Education – Through a college degree to be earned by pursuing and observing all stipulations of a three-year full-time bachelors’ course from Delhi University/Jamia Millia.
- Mentoring- Each Fellow to be paired with a mentor to observe and learn from, and to receive counseling and direction related to career planning, skill acquisition and experiential challenges.
- This will allow for the young Fellow to not only observe and learn from this association by proximity, but also to receive counseling and direction related to individual career planning, skill acquisition, and experiential challenges.
- Life Skills- To fulfill aspirational employability related skill gaps and enable motivation and work ethic through KARM Talks, KARM Learning, KARM English and KARM Connect.
- Community Service- To help shape a compassionate, grounded and empathetic personality, the KARM Fellowship has woven community service into its very fabric, by mandating 50 hours of work in the community, through the duration of the Fellowship.
