The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has launched a fully-funded scholarship program in collaboration with the Kazakh-German University (DKU) for the Master’s program in “Strategic Management of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency” at DKU to help young Central Asian women kick-start careers in the sustainable energy sector.
This scholarship program aims to support and empower young women from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan in acquiring skills for establishing and managing renewable energy facilities, as well as effectively handling clean energy technologies, including energy conservation and efficiency.
The scholarship program is being organized within the framework of the OSCE Project on Promoting women’s economic participation in the energy sector for energy security and sustainability in Central Asia, which is supported by Austria, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland.
Benefits
- Selected candidates will receive financial assistance, comprehensive training, and networking opportunities. The program is conducted in English.
- The tuition fee, travel, accommodation, monthly stipends and other costs for selected participants will be borne by the OSCE through the Kazakh-German University.
Eligibility Criteria
- Young women with backgrounds in engineering, thermal power, technology, environmental sciences, economics, and management are invited to apply.
