Applications are now open for the CrossCulture Programme (CCP) Fellowship 2020.
The announcement of the CrossCulture programme (CCP) fellowship – Latin America and the Caribbean is carried out by ifa with the assistance of the German diplomatic missions in the six countries involved: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Guatemala, Mexico.
The Institute for Foreign Relations (ifa) will be able to award 12 fellowships for professionals and committed volunteers (two fellowships for each country).
Benefits
- The scholars’ travel and subsistence expenses are covered by programme funds. This includes a monthly grant of 550 Euro, travel costs to Germany and urban public transport, as well as visa fees, health insurance and accommodation. The latter is either a private room in a shared flat (according to gender), a private room in a host family or a small furnished apartment. Accommodation includes cost for electricity, water and heating; whereas telephone and internet facilities are not included.
- No provisions will be made for travelling with family members such as spouse or children. ifa assumes no costs or responsibility for other persons beyond the fellowship recipient.
- Benefits in case of travel restriction
- The following expenses are covered by programme funds when travelling will not be allowed and the fellowship will be based on digital resources:
- Technical and financial support to enable the participation in digital tools
- Licenses for the use of digital collaboration tools and platforms
- Online specialist trainings considering the fellows’ individual and professional aims
- Digital exchange, collaboration and workshops with CCP fellowship holders, NGOs and alumni from the CCP countries.
- The following expenses are covered by programme funds when travelling will not be allowed and the fellowship will be based on digital resources:
Requirements
The CCP fellowship for the a.m. countries targets professionals or voluntarily engaged individuals permanently involved in an organization or institution in one of the following fields of activity:
- Policy and society
- Media and culture
- Human Rights and peace
- Sustainable development
Currently the focus of CCP is also on:
- civic & citizenship education and
- digital civil society
Applicants need to have a good command of English and/or German and should be aged between 23 and 45 years. Furthermore, the applicants must be in good health: Their physical as well as mental working capacity must be sufficient for the requirements of a longer stay abroad and the essential work requirements of the occupational stay.
Selection Procedure
The filled in and signed application forms along with a passport picture are submitted via the application portal to ifa.
- Curriculum vitae in English with details about education/training, work experience, volunteering and other skills
- Letter of motivation.
- Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s home organization/workplace in the applicant’s country of origin, for example from a supervisor.
- Photo is optional.
