The Wexner Foundation is seeking applications for its Wexner Israel Fellowship program to provide Israel’s next generation of public leaders with superlative training in public management and leadership development, thus enhancing the quality of democracy and the institutional vitality of Israel’s public sector.
The Foundation seeks to promote diversity by actively encouraging public sector professionals from all walks of Israel’s society – men and women, Jews and non-Jews, residents of the periphery and those of central Israel, and more – to apply for this unique leadership program.
Upon completing the program, graduates join the Wexner alumni community in Israel and the US, where they continue to learn, develop and apply their newly acquired tools to even greater benefit for Israel’s society.
Eligibility Criteria
- At least 7 years of job experience – 5 or more of which were in the public sector in one or more of the following: civil service, local government, government authorities or agencies, governmental companies, security forces, hospitals and HMOs (Kupot Holim), and any registered NGO with a stated social agenda.
- Proven success in a public management position, leadership skills and strong prospects of career advancement in the public service.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates must be 30-45 at the time of their departure for the program.
How to Apply
There are two steps in the application procedure:
- Step 1: Candidates interested in the fellowship are welcome to submit the Eligibility Form on the given website.
- Applicants who fully qualify as per the following requirements, will then be asked to submit an Application Form.
- Step 2: Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements, will receive an email from The Wexner Foundation requesting they submit an Application Form (AF) and the following documents:
- A questionnaire in which they will be asked to answer several questions in essay form in English.
- Three recommendations in writing, in English (must be submitted by the writer).
- Grade sheets, in English, from each academic institution mentioned in the eligibility form.
