The U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia is inviting applicants for its Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program that is a United States government-funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs.
The Humphrey Fellowship brings accomplished professionals from designated countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Eurasia to the United States at a mid-point in their careers for a year of non-degree graduate study and related practical professional experience.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be in the age range of 32 – 45 inclusive;
- Applicants should have a minimum of five years full-time professional experience (prior to July 2017) in the relevant field, after completing a university degree, and should be interested in the policy aspects of their field of specialization.
- Applicants must present a letter of support from their organization showing consent to grant of leave of absence during course of study;
- Applicants must possess managerial or supervisory positions in their organizations;
- Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree;
- Cumulative GPA in undergraduate studies should be 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale;
- Applicants must be willing to sit for TOEFL (English language proficiency exam). Candidates should be proficient in both written and spoken English and should normally have a minimum
- TOEFL score of 525 (paper based) or 71 (internet-based).
