If you’re passionate about crystallography or structural science and have a creative idea to share that excitement with others, this opportunity is for you. Whether it’s a video, social media campaign, game, poster, or interactive activity, the aim is to inspire people—especially those not already involved in STEM.
The CCDC Engagement Grants offer up to £2,000 per activity to help produce resources or events that engage schools and the general public. These grants are designed to support activities that introduce crystallography and structural science to new audiences, including children, undecided students, or the wider community.
Accepted formats can include videos, social media content, handouts, posters, infographics, presentation slides, games, apps, webpages, or science fair activities. Any format is welcome, as long as it is accessible and includes clear instructions for others to use or replicate.
Applicants must be 18 years or older. People from all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply, and no prior experience in education or outreach is required. Multiple applications are allowed if you have different activity ideas.
