Deadline: 24-Oct-2025
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking qualified partners to implement a community-focused project in the Niassa province of Mozambique.
This initiative will be carried out in the districts of Marrupa, Maua, Metarica, and Nipepe, with the overall goal of promoting stability, reducing vulnerability, and building community resilience.
The project will run for 12 months, beginning in the first quarter of 2026 and concluding at the end of the year. The total available budget for this partnership is up to 30,000 USD, covering the full duration of the implementation period.
Selected implementing partners will work closely with IOM and local government stakeholders to develop, execute, and monitor community-level activities. A key component of the project is inclusive community engagement, ensuring that all voices within the target communities are heard and considered. This includes organizing at least one community meeting in each location to explain the project’s objectives, share information on beneficiary selection, and manage expectations transparently. Special attention must be given to ensuring participation from a wide range of socioeconomic groups.
To qualify for this opportunity, organizations must be legally registered to operate in Mozambique and have experience in similar project implementation within the last five years. In addition, applicants must have either a physical presence or reliable access to the targeted districts. They must also demonstrate sufficient staffing and resources, along with established policies and systems for responding to allegations of sexual harassment and sexual exploitation and abuse.
This is a valuable opportunity for experienced local organizations to contribute directly to the stabilization and development of communities in Niassa. Interested organizations are encouraged to prepare strong proposals that reflect community needs and align with the project’s goals.
