Applications are open for the second Asian Conference on Population and Development with an aim to provide a platform for equal communication among the scholars in the developing countries of Asia.
The second Asian Conference on Population and Development (ACPD) will be held on June 7- 9, 2019 in Hangzhou, China. The theme of this year’s conference is “Population Health and Public Governance”.
They take Population Health and Public Governance as the main theme of the conference so as to promote research in these fields in Asian developing countries through sharing academic opinions and displaying research results. Complying with the broader thematic areas the content of the conference will cover a number of issues like fertility, mortality, health, ageing, marriage, family, morbidity, poverty, migration, gender, public policy, governance, social security and health care, etc. Apart from plenary meeting and group session, the conference organizer will also arrange participants to visit some best practice places in development around Hangzhou areas.
The Institute for Population and Development Studies of Zhejiang University will be the organizer of the conference. China Population and Development Research Center, Institute of Population Research of Peking University, The Institute for Population and Development Studies of Zhejiang University, Institute of Population Research of Yunnan University, United Nation Population Fund, Netinsearch International-Network for Integrative Research in Bangladesh and the Department of Population Sciences of University of Dhaka jointly host the conference.
There is no registration fee for the conference. The participants from developing countries whose abstracts are accepted will be provided with hotel and meals with free of charge in Hangzhou during the time of the conference. The round trip will be paid by participants themselves. For Chinese participants and participants from developed countries, the meals will be provided free of charge, while the trip and hotel will be paid by themselves.

Interested applicants must submit an abstract within 500 words, including the title, research problems or hypothesis, data and methods, and tentative conclusions, to the Conference email at the address given on the website.
