Deadline: 30-Aug-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking cooperating partners to support its In-Kind assistance, Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) assistance, and Nutrition Assistance programs in the West Bank for 12 months starting November 1, 2025. This opportunity focuses on food security, cash assistance, food aid, malnutrition prevention and treatment, and nutrition in emergencies.
WFP’s CBT activities, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development, provide top-up food assistance via electronic vouchers to around 195,000 people living below the national poverty line. This includes persons with disabilities and the elderly. The program works with a network of contracted shops and expands during emergencies to ensure beneficiaries have access.
In-kind assistance involves managing the receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of food commodities. It requires ensuring quality preservation, accurate record-keeping, and raising beneficiary awareness. The nutrition strategy aims to improve maternal and child nutrition during the first 1,000 days of life, promote healthy diets, and prevent acute malnutrition in vulnerable groups. These groups include pregnant and breastfeeding women and children aged 6 to 59 months, with readiness to provide emergency food assistance if conditions worsen.
Potential partners are expected to deliver large-scale assistance projects aligned with humanitarian principles. They should work to improve food access for internally displaced persons and support both regular and emergency programming in the West Bank’s most vulnerable areas. The selection process will weigh 70% on the technical proposal and 30% on cost-effectiveness.
