The Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA) is pleased to announce a competitive call for proposals from eligible Tanzanian researchers focusing on the following research themes:
- Urbanization, Migration and Demographic Shifts
- Gender gaps in enterprise development and asset ownership
- Social protection, deprivation and vulnerability in the context of COVID 19 pandemic
- Agriculture transformation and Food security
- Climate change and resilience in the context of Tanzania’s third five-year development plan (FYDP III, 2021/22 – 2025/26)
- Innovation and technology as enablers of productivity and competitiveness
Successful applicants will be subjected to independent peer reviews, present proposals and research papers at seminar series, and will access mentoring from senior researchers to ensure they publish their research outputs.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants are Tanzanian citizens who have recently completed their Master’s or PhD degrees in social sciences from recognized Universities and are engaged in research, academia, or mid-career in policy analysis. Current PhD students are also encouraged to apply.
