Deadline: 01-Dec-2025
The Wellness Works Small Grants programme is now open, offering up to £10,000 in funding to voluntary and community groups across Kirklees to support activities that promote health, wellbeing, and progression into training, volunteering, or employment.
The focus of the funding is on projects that not only promote physical and mental wellbeing but also help people build confidence, learn new skills, or move closer to volunteering, training, or employment. It’s an opportunity for organisations to deliver inclusive, community-focused activities that create positive change and lasting impact.
Eligible groups include voluntary and community organisations, charities, social enterprises, faith-based organisations, and informal groups with a constitution and bank account. All applicants must be based in, or delivering activities for, people living in Kirklees.
Projects might include health groups, arts and exercise sessions, peer support, digital skills workshops, volunteering schemes, or community events that bring people together. Activities that offer practical support, such as transport or access to equipment, are also welcomed if they help people take part.
However, the grant will not fund core running costs unrelated to delivery, activities that are purely political or religious, or any projects based outside of Kirklees. Proposals must clearly show how they link health and wellbeing with volunteering, skills development, or progress towards employment or training.
This is a valuable chance for local groups to access financial support and make a difference in the lives of people across the Kirklees community. The Wellness Works Small Grants programme is designed to empower communities and support the wellbeing of residents through collaboration, creativity, and connection.
