Are you 16 to 35 years old and from Sri Lanka or the Maldives? Do you want to contribute to creating evidence used for decision-making? Join to be part of a new research project focused on youth, peace and security related themes, and have your voice heard!
UNESCO’s New Delhi Cluster Office has launched two new ‘Youth As Researchers’ (YAR) programmes – one in Sri Lanka and the second in the Maldives to strengthen the access and ability of youth to participate and contribute to participatory action research and evidence-building, particularly related to issues of peace and social cohesion.
The new YAR programme, targeted at young people between 18 and 35, aims to bring together some 70 young people from Sri Lanka and the Maldives to design and carry out research on key areas related to the global Youth, Peace and Security agenda.
By ensuring the inclusion of youth in processes of knowledge creation and decision-making, the programme aims to promote youth perspectives on peace and security issues, to ensure that their voice is heard, and to document successful youth-led solutions to identified challenges.
