Deadline: 01-Sep-2025
The Wolfson Foundation offers funding to charities that provide care and services for older people, especially those with neurodegenerative conditions or experiencing isolation. Projects must support improved services, access, or long-term sustainability.
To be considered, a project should aim to increase access for users, improve the quality or range of services, or strengthen the organisation’s future sustainability. Funding is available for capital projects such as new buildings, refurbishment, or equipment.
The minimum grant available is £25,000, with most grants ranging from £40,000 to £75,000. Projects must have capital costs of at least £50,000 and show a shortfall in funding of at least £25,000.
Eligible applicants must be UK-based registered charities or local authorities. If regulated, the organisation should have at least a ‘Good’ rating from an appropriate body like the Care Quality Commission.
Certain projects are not eligible for funding. These include carers’ organisations, support and therapy centres, equipment-lending charities, hospital facilities related to clinical care, respite services, and ex-armed forces charities unless they specifically support individuals with physical or mental health issues.
