Deadline: 11-Aug-2025
Applications are now open for the GSK Community Health Programme, which aims to support visionary leaders working to reduce health inequalities in the UK. The programme is designed for small, registered charities that are committed to tackling unequal access to healthcare and improving health outcomes within their communities.
Eligible charities must be at least one year old, based in the UK, and have an annual income between £20,000 and £150,000. The programme recognises that many small charities are at the forefront of addressing the root causes of health inequality—such as poor housing, poverty, and limited access to quality care—yet they often face significant funding and leadership development barriers.
Particular encouragement is given to organisations led by and supporting disadvantaged and underrepresented communities, including ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others who often experience the harshest health inequalities.
Up to 10 selected organisations will receive £10,000 in unrestricted funding to strengthen their operations and impact. In addition to funding, recipients will be invited to join an online leadership programme delivered by The King’s Fund. Valued at £5,000 per place, the course offers tailored learning to help charity leaders grow their operational and strategic leadership capabilities.
The leadership programme requires a meaningful time commitment and is best suited for participants who are open-minded, curious, and willing to challenge their own leadership practices. It also offers an opportunity to engage with a supportive peer network.
To apply, organisations must meet the income and registration criteria, demonstrate a clear focus on reducing health inequalities, and be independently constituted from any national umbrella body. The application deadline is 5:00 PM on Monday, 11 August 2025.
