KidsX is inviting startups that focus on healthcare solutions for the AWS Healthcare Accelerator, that helps startups use cloud technologies from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop solutions that tackle some of healthcare’s biggest issues. Join experts from AWS and KidsX to learn about healthcare startup development and acceleration, then get building.
The mission of AWS Healthcare Accelerator is to cultivate and promote a diverse cohort of startups from across the healthcare industry that seek to achieve the Quadruple Aim of improved patient experience, improved clinician experience, better health outcomes, and lower cost of care.
Their goal is to help startups with demonstrated commercial traction, in terms of revenue and potential to scale in the healthcare industry, to accelerate their impact, access additional resources, and expand their reach.
Program
- The AWS Healthcare Accelerator is a virtual four-week technical, business, and mentorship accelerator delivered by KidsX, who brings experience in delivering accelerator programs along with a strong network of healthcare organizations.
- Selected startups will work with leading AWS technical experts to build and scale their cloud solution.
- The program provides participants with over 50 hours of support to each startup, AWS Promotional Credits, and access to both the AWS and KidsX global networks to build connections and potentially gain pilots and partnerships.
- The program will also bring in healthcare industry leaders to collaborate with startups on topics ranging from defining business models, regulatory pathways, clinical validation, electronic health records (EHR) integration, and more.
- After the accelerator, AWS and KidsX will continue to check in with accelerator alumni to help continue their progress in achieving the Quadruple Aim.
- AWS will judge applications on several factors, including the innovation, the overall value the solution will bring to the industry, the creative application of AWS to solve problems, and the team’s ability to deliver on an identified opportunity.
Benefits
- They will select 10 startups to participate in this four week accelerator. Selected startups may receive AWS Promotional Credit, as well as technical, business, and go-to-market mentorship from AWS healthcare experts. The program will also offer collaboration opportunities with AWS healthcare customers and members of AWS Partner Network (APN) looking for healthcare solutions.
- Selected startups will receive up to $25,000 USD of AWS Promotional Credit, as well as technical, business, and go-to-market mentorship from AWS healthcare experts. The program will also offer collaboration opportunities with AWS healthcare customers and members of Amazon Partner Network (APN) looking for healthcare solutions.
- After the accelerator concludes, AWS and KidsX will curate a virtual demo day to showcase the participating companies and solutions developed to key stakeholders in the healthcare industry to help catalyze their deployment and mission on to achieve the Quadruple Aim.
- They are searching for companies that are US-based or those that are international with existing US-based operations.
- They welcome companies at all stages, from growth stage to series C and beyond. The program is unique compared to how other accelerators typically operate.
