Deadline: 30-Oct-22
Mental Health Research Canada (MHRC) and the Institute for Advancements in Mental Health (IAM) are considering investing up to $100,000 in funding to support the development and research of one or more Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning / Big Data projects as they apply to improve mental health in Canada.
The Foundations are seeking to fund one or more project(s) or a collaborative effort that employs a novel application of these systems and could potentially be scaled for larger application. They are looking to support the development of interventions or systems using AI to support treatment(s) or diagnose mental illness – where they know the potential for impact is significant.
While their scope is broad, they are primarily looking for projects in the early or mid stage of development that utilize new approaches to AI. The funding can be used to develop the resource, but studying the efficacy of the resource is the essence of the funding request.
