The Department of the International Organization of the Open Society Institute – Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan has announced an open competition for grants aimed at strengthening the capacity of the health care system and providing basic palliative care services.
Applications must be in support of the project initiatives aimed at strengthening the health system and the provision of basic services in palliative care are ill m and member s of their families at home and on the basis of the hospital.
The Open Society Institute – the Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan is part of the international network of Open Society Foundations that promote the establishment and development of democratic societies whose governments are accountable to their citizens.
Funding Information
The size of the project budget should not exceed 180 000 somoni.
Criteria
To participate in the competition are invited:
- organizations that have experience in providing medical, social, psychological assistance to people suffering from chronic, life-threatening diseases;
- organizations involved in the availability of pain medication for palliative patients in need;
- parent community and self-help groups;
- educational institutions dealing with training, retraining and personnel training.
Selection Criteria
- compliance with the values of an open society;
- the quality of the application;
- clear purpose and practical significance;
- novelty of the idea and approaches;
- the presence of an element of sustainability;
- availability of an advocacy and communication plan for the project;
- budget compliance with the planned activities.
