Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The NurseHack4Health brings together a global community of nurses, healthcare professionals, developers, engineers, IT experts, and innovators to ideate and launch solutions for urgent healthcare challenges.
Hosted by Johnson & Johnson, SONSIEL, and Microsoft, with backing from the Johnson & Johnson Foundation, the initiative helps nurse-led interdisciplinary teams create, test, and scale innovations designed to improve workplace environments, workforce resilience, and patient care.
Teams are invited to participate in a structured process that includes coaching, an Innovation Accelerator in October, and concludes with a virtual Pitch-A-Thon in November where finalists showcase their ideas to a panel of expert judges. Selected teams stand to receive funding—up to $175,000 for healthcare organizations globally, or up to $35,000 for U.S.-based nurse-led startups—with total funding available in the Pitch-A-Thon reaching $385,000.
This is more than a competition: it’s a collaborative platform offering training in design thinking, budgeting, pitching, and AI-powered innovation. Participants will be supported through every step, from refining concepts to developing one-year plans that align with real-world implementation. Critically, intellectual property rights remain with the inventors, making this a fully open, no-strings-attached opportunity for impactful change.
If you’re a nurse or part of a nursing organization ready to tackle systemic challenges in health systems, this is your chance to transform healthcare through innovation. Whether you’re improving workplaces, advancing patient care, or reimagining healthcare delivery, NurseHack4Health provides the tools, funding, and community to help your idea thrive.
