The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals to Support the implementation of an enhanced Surveillance Public Awareness /sensitization on COVID-19.
UNDP is seeking proposals from qualified CSOs to provide support in implementation of County Health Team enhanced surveillance on public Awareness; sensitization on COVID-19 which will be implemented in Nimba, Lofa, Grand Cape Mount, Bong, Lofa River Gee counties. In order to have a geographical representation for the implementation of this task, two CSOs will be selected from each county for this intervention that have offices in these counties.
Duly registered CSOs are encouraged to develop and submit proposals in the following format:
- Project content and problem analysis – what results will the project achieve and how does it address the problem.
- Justification – analysis of why it is important to address the problems and why your organization is best suited to catty out this task.
- Expected results – expected outcomes, outputs, and activities.
- Implementation strategy – how the project will undertake the activities to ensure most effective and efficient achievement of results.
- Work plan – highlighting each outcome, output, activity, and their completing timeframe.
- Partnership – partners needed for coordination and collaboration for successful implementation of the project.
- Risks and Risk Mitigation Strategy
- Implementation Exit Strategy/Sustainability.
- Institutional profile – a brief description of your organization, including its registration details and relevant experience and competencies in working on issues related public awareness/sensitization, community engagement.
- Proposal Budget – a proposed budget per county linked with output and activities including justification and/or explanation.
- Reporting timeline.
- Project Results Framework
Deliverables
- Assist the County Health Team (CHI) to disseminate educational information on COVID-19 in the community throughout the enhanced surveillance intervention period.
- Mobilize the community members for voluntary testing.
- Work closely with the CHT to achieve compliance with existing COVID-19 isolation protocols among those who test positive and their contacts.
Eligibility Criteria
Grants will be awarded to organizations based on the following considerations:
- National or local women’s led organizations, Women’s rights organizations/ Movements.
- The CSOs are fully operational/ with offices in Nimba, Lofa, Grand Cape Mount, Bong, Lola, River Gee counties.
- The organization’s proven administrative and financial management capacity to undertake this intervention.
- The relevance of the proposal to achieving the expected results and related budget; and
- The institutional capacity of the CSOs
