The UNHCR Representation in Skopje is inviting NGOs and foundations for its “Provision of Medical and Basic Humanitarian Assistance to UNHCR Persons of Concern – Persons with Special Needs Program.”
The purpose of the Call for Expression of Interest is to solicit interest from existing or prospective partners that wish to participate in a UNHCR operation and contribute complementary resources (human resources, knowledge, funds, in-kind contributions, supplies and/or equipment) to achieving common objectives as agreed in a Project Partnership Agreement.
Objectives
- Reception conditions improved- provision of basic medical and humanitarian assistance
- Activities:
- To provide direct assistance support to refugees entering the border from Greece and Serbia through 2 medical mobile teams and assistance from distribution teams;
- Through the mobile teams to extend medical assistance to the refugees and the other persons in need of international protection in the transit sites;
- Activities:
- Support to PoC with specific needs provided
- Activity: Provision of medical assistance to persons with Special Needs
Intended Population of Concern
- Asylum seekers and refugees from outside the western Balkans region( Objective 1)
- Person in refugee like situation(Objective 2)
Eligibility Criteria
- The interested NGOs registered in the country wishing to apply in reply to this Call for Expression of Interest are required to submit only a Concept Note.
- The Concept Note is primarily for the partner to express its unique advantage and added value for the Project objectives.
- The Concept Note is intended to allow the partner to:
- Articulate its objectives in undertaking the Project;
- Briefly describe the implementation approach for realizing the desired outcome of the Project;
- Demonstrate the unique advantage it brings to the partnership for realizing the desired outcome of the Project; and
- Demonstrate its complementariness to UNHCR’s capacities and resources for the Project.
