Deadline: 01-Feb-2026
The Hanley at Home Fund awards grants to organisations that will help people to manage and maintain their own home.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to support community-focused organisations that deliver meaningful projects in Staffordshire and surrounding areas. This funding opportunity aims to empower local groups that work to improve lives, strengthen communities, and enhance opportunities for residents through practical and inclusive initiatives.
The programme welcomes applications from a wide range of not-for-profit organisations, including registered charities, constituted community and voluntary groups, community amateur sports clubs, registered social enterprises, and industrial and provident societies. These groups must demonstrate a clear commitment to community benefit and accountability within their governance structures.
Organisations must be based in, or working to benefit people living in, Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire Moorlands, or Stafford. Projects delivered within these areas should focus on addressing local needs, building community cohesion, or improving well-being.
Eligible costs include training expenses, the purchase of equipment, and activities such as awareness days that promote engagement and education. However, the fund will not support political activity, religious promotion, or any project designed to generate private profit.
Funding is not available for local authorities, parish or town councils, schools, statutory organisations, national organisations without a local branch, or private businesses. Additionally, groups that already benefit from a partner charity relationship with the Society are not eligible to apply.
This grant programme provides a valuable opportunity for grassroots organisations to access essential funding, enabling them to continue their efforts in making a lasting difference to communities across Staffordshire.
