The Embassy of the Netherlands is inviting Ukrainian NGOs to participate in the call for project proposals within the Human Rights Fund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
The Embassy encourages collaboration with other NGOs working in the field of human rights and/or with relevant authorities.
Priority Areas
- Promoting freedom of assembly, freedom of speech and freedom of expression (including the freedom of the media and internet freedom);
- Supporting the work of human rights defenders;
- Tackling discrimination and violence, in particular – against religious groups, national minorities, women and LGBTI.
- Combatting impunity and ensuring access to justice.
Eligible Applicants
The call is open for applications from civil society organizations registered in Ukraine.
- Applicant organizations should meet the following requirements:
- Be a registered non-governmental and non-profit organization according to Ukrainian legislation, and work in the field in line with organization’s statute;
- Have a positive adequate track record, proven management capacity and expertise in the selected area(s) of intervention;
- Have an efficient decision-making structure which can take legal responsibility for the administration and use of funds;
- Have the necessary capacity and the network to achieve stated results;
- Have anti-fraud policies, sound financial management and accounting procedures.
- In order to qualify for support, the proposal should comply with the following criteria:
- Demonstrate the change-making potential in one or more of the above-mentioned priority areas;
- Ensure equal women participation;
- Be designed in accordance with an application form;
- Budgeted between UAH 1.000.000 and UAH 2.000.000;
- Project duration should correspond to planned activities, but not exceed 24 months;
- Identify the organization’s own financial and in-kind resources allocated to the proposed project (not less than 15 %);
- Not duplicate activities funded by other donor organizations;
- The starting date of the project should be no earlier than 1 July 2019.
