Deadline: 10-Aug-20
Applications are now open for the Peace First B.U.I.L.D. Program 2020. It is a 3-month long Peace First leadership program for young Black organizers, activists, artists, and storytellers ages 13-25.
Designed to amplify the voices of young Black changemakers in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Europe, B.U.I.L.D. provides opportunities for participants to build skills in community organizing, project leadership, self-care and wellbeing, and storytelling.
Though experienced activists may apply, the program seeks to support young people who are beginning their journey in organizing for social justice or seeking to deepen their knowledge and skills. Throughout the program, participants will access peer mentorship, personalized coaching, skill-based workshops for social change led by other young leaders, and access to Peace First’s global network of young changemakers and adult supporters.
Participants will join a small cohort of 10-15 young people from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Europe focused on creating social change in their communities.
Prize Information
- Each participant will receive a $250 stipend that can be used to cover expenses for an ongoing or imminent social impact project or to meet personal needs. Additionally, program graduates may access Peace First’s full resources and support systems for young changemakers, including the opportunity to apply for an additional $250 to support their own project addressing injustice in early 2021.
