The International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR) is pleased to announce the launch of the Human Rights Impact Hub.
The Human Rights Impact Hub is calling for applications from lawyers and human rights defenders from the countries of the former Soviet Union (FSU) who wish to gain hands-on experience and knowledge of working on human rights’ violations and corruption-related targeted sanctions through a training programme.
In the course of the programme, participants will be introduced to the sanctions regimes of the four major Western jurisdictions and provided with detailed guidance on how to trace and recover the ill-gotten assets of persons involved in human rights violations and corruption.

What the Programme Includes

- The training programme will be delivered in English.
- The initial one-month training will by continued with individual mentorship and funding to draft sanctions designation requests for a group selected from the most active participants.
- All participants who complete the training will become Human Rights Impact Hub alumni, with exclusive access to future networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Human Rights Impact Hub welcomes applications from interested and enthusiastic candidates. For the application to be successful, applicants should:
- Possess a strong legal background and experience, as well as a solid understanding of human rights and corruption issues in the FSU region;
- Have an interest in exploring alternative accountability instruments and outside-the-box strategies aimed at overcoming the shortcomings of conventional legal action;
- Have a strong motivation to submit sanctions designation requests with the help of the Hub’s training, mentoring, networking resources, and funding;
- Possess a working knowledge of English.
