Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
The Impact Innovations Institute’s Initiatives Foundation (IMINI) has launched a new round of Small-Scale Grants (SSGs) aimed at women-led and women-focused organizations in Armenia. This initiative is part of the Women’s Initiative for Security and Equity (WISE) program, which is supported by the United States Department of State and implemented by Mercy Corps Georgia in partnership with IMINI in Armenia.
The SSG program is designed to support grassroots initiatives that work to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls (VAWG) and violent extremism (VE). It also promotes gender equality, community inclusion, and minority rights. Additionally, the program encourages the use of technology and local resources, such as the Safe YOU app, to empower women and girls in vulnerable communities.
Each grant offers up to $3,000 USD (approximately 1,200,000 AMD) for projects running between September and November 2025. Eligible activities include educational and training programs for communities, youth, Locally Active Groups (LAGs), schools, and vocational institutions. Projects can also include social and mass media campaigns to raise awareness of VAWG, VE, and the Safe YOU app, as well as partnerships with local Armenian governments to enhance community-level response systems.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered nonprofit entities in Armenia such as community-based organizations, grassroots groups, or public vocational/educational institutions. At least 70% of the project team must be women. Applicants must also have a minimum of six months of relevant experience, propose a project lasting no more than three months, and ensure that all activities occur within Armenia. Individual applications are not accepted.
