The Digital Defenders Partnership (DDP) is accepting applications for the Regional Partnership Fund from organizations and collectives in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. The fund supports efforts that promote online freedom and protect human rights defenders through a holistic approach.
Funding can support activities such as ensuring internet access during shutdowns, censorship, or infrastructure disruptions, providing digital security training and broader protection for at-risk human rights defenders, offering technical expertise like digital forensic analysis and secure hosting, and conducting advocacy to promote digital rights and online freedoms.
Grants of up to €25,000 are available for projects lasting up to one year. Eligible countries include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Applicants must share DDP’s values, including a commitment to strengthening the leadership and agency of those most affected by political violence, both online and offline. Priority will be given to initiatives addressing the needs of women, trans people, racial, ethnic, and sexual minorities, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized communities.
