Deadline: 01-Dec-2025
The Neotropical Grassland Conservancy is seeking applications for its Student Grant Program in response to feedback from Venezuelan professors.
Graduate student research projects are often hindered by lack of funds for basic needs such as transportation, lodging, meals and consumable field supplies.
Successful applicants receive a single allotment of $1,500 USD to support their research needs. Awardees are required to provide their bank name, address, and routing numbers for the disbursement of funds.
The program supports Latin American students enrolled in M.S. or Ph.D. programs in universities across the United States and South America. Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their applications by December 1st.
The review process involves careful evaluation by members of the SGP committee and two external reviewers. The assessment focuses on the student’s demonstrated commitment to conservation, the feasibility and merit of the proposed project, and how closely the project aligns with NGC’s mission.
At the end of the project year, recipients must submit a report summarizing their results and explaining how the funds were utilized. Upon submission of this report, students become eligible to apply for additional funding in the future.
