Deadline: 30-November-2025
All Delfina Foundation residencies provide artists with valuable opportunities for growth and collaboration, including guided visits to cultural institutions, interactions with artists and professionals through events and studio visits, professional development sessions such as portfolio reviews and mentoring, and informal exchanges that foster creative dialogue among residents.
This twelve-week residency will take place during Delfina Foundation’s autumn residency season 2026, from 21 September to 13 December 2026. The residency provides artists with the opportunity to explore the relationship between space and spirituality.
The selected artist will receive support from both Delfina Foundation and St Paul’s Cathedral teams to develop their artistic practice through research, exchange, and professional development.
The residency includes a return economy-class flight, airport transfers in the UK, reimbursement of visa fees (if required), a living allowance of £40 per day, a materials budget of £1,000, and a travel pass for London’s public transport network.
Accommodation will be provided in a single bedroom with a desk at Delfina Foundation, which houses up to eight residents and includes shared facilities such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, a kitchen, library, and dining room. Participants are required to arrange their own travel insurance covering medical emergencies and personal possessions.
Eligible applicants must be contemporary visual artists living and working in Latin America or the Caribbean, with an interest in exploring the relationship between space and spirituality through previous projects.
They must demonstrate how this international residency will benefit both their individual practice and their local networks, and be proficient in English, as the interview and discussions will be conducted in the language. Preference will be given to artists who have not previously lived or participated in residency programmes in London.
Applications will be reviewed by a selection panel comprising Delfina Foundation representatives and external advisors, ensuring a fair and comprehensive process.
The application deadline is Sunday, 30 November 2025, at 23:59 GMT. Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed online by the end of December, and final results will be announced by mid-January.
