Deadline: 26-Nov-2025
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to participate in the Tribal Painting Contest to showcase the rich artistic traditions of India’s tribal communities.
The contest aims to promote awareness and appreciation of traditional art forms like Warli, Gond, Sohrai, Saura, and Pithora paintings, which beautifully express the connection between people, culture, and nature.
The initiative not only showcases artistic talent but also promotes cultural preservation by bringing traditional forms into the contemporary art space. Through this effort, the contest highlights how tribal art continues to be a reflection of resilience, spirituality, and the deep bond shared between people and the natural world.
The painting competition encourages artists to explore the vibrant essence of India’s tribal heritage through colors and creativity. It serves as a platform to celebrate indigenous traditions, stories, and artistic expressions that have been passed down through generations.
Participants are invited to paint the rhythm of nature, culture, and courage—capturing the profound harmony between humans and their surroundings as seen through tribal artistry.
Top three winners of the contest will be rewarded with INR 5000/-, and participation is open exclusively to Indian nationals.
