The Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with MyGov invites citizens to participate in the Tribal Craft Photography Contest and capture the beauty, skill, and creativity of India’s tribal artisans.
Participants can submit photographs that highlight traditional tribal crafts such as pottery, weaving, metalwork, wood carving, jewelry, and handloom creations. The contest aims to promote awareness about the artistic excellence and cultural heritage of India’s tribal communities while encouraging respect for their sustainable craftsmanship.
The photography contest serves as a platform to celebrate the rich cultural legacy and creativity of India’s tribal artisans. Through the lens of the camera, participants can capture the skill, precision, and artistry that define indigenous craftsmanship.
The contest encourages appreciation of tribal culture by drawing attention to the intricate details and techniques that make each creation unique. By framing these crafts artistically, participants contribute to the preservation and recognition of India’s tribal heritage. The initiative not only highlights creativity but also fosters awareness and respect for the eco-friendly values embedded in traditional craftsmanship.
Titled “Frame the art, celebrate the artist – witness India’s tribal creativity in focus,” the contest rewards the top three winners with INR 5000 each. Open to all Indian citizens, this competition provides a unique opportunity to connect artistry with cultural pride and promote the enduring beauty of tribal crafts.
