Nominations are now open for the Economic Development Department’s Technology Innovation Awards (TechAwards) to reward excellence and support Bermuda’s Innovators through the recognition of their outstanding achievements within Bermuda’s information technology industry.
The Technology Innovation Awards, provide the Government’s Economic Development Department with the annual opportunity to celebrate innovative and solutions-driven Bermuda-based companies, organizations, and individuals who are doing outstanding things in the technology field.
Categories
Nominations are sought for four specific categories:
- Innovation of the Year – International Market,
- Innovation of the Year – Local Market,
- Mobile Application of the Year, and
- Most Innovative Youth Project or Youth Programme
Judging Criteria
The judges will be looking for four factors:
- is it a new concept in the marketplace,
- does it have an innovative design or innovative use of technology,
- what is the level of sophistication, does it have the “wow factor”, and finally,
- does it have a significant Bermuda factor?
