Call for Nominations: The Biggest Tech Award of Nepal

Nominations are now open for the Biggest Tech Award, the awards are celebrate in conjunction with the annual ICT Awards conference held in the capital city of Nepal each year.

With the participation from diverse sector, the ICT Award reflects the diversity of national interaction and need for a common recognition platform and standard of excellence that represents the wide breadth and impact of IT sector. This Award platform serves as a reference for the interaction between community and IT sectors to build upon strong e-society and provides both professionals and students with tangible examples of best work in field of IT sectors in Nepal.

Award ceremony will also be witnessed by other events like launch of new products, documentaries on the stories of the top 3 selected individuals in each category and followed by LIVE Music and Entertainment program.

Why this Event?

Twenty-First century is hugely influenced by technology and is considered as one of the pivotal dimensions to boost the economic development of any nation. They have witnessed how technology impacts the economy of the world. With increasing impact of technology in developed and developing countries like Nepal, they believe that the fourth edition of the Living with ICT Award for excellence in the field of Information & Communication Technology held last year served as a milestone for the tech sector and helped in innovating new and advanced ideas from our tech entrepreneurs while also giving them a sense of recognition and appreciation for their works.

They have made these awards as an annual event with the hope to act as a catalyst for growth of the ICT sector. They look forward to creating a spotlight on these individuals and their business ideas and help in creating videos and other forms of content for these individuals.

Award Information

Startup ICT Award 2020: This award will be awarded to one up and coming start-up ICT based company which has demonstrated growth within the organization and has created a business model they believe can be successful in the long run.
Product ICT Award 2020: This award will be awarded to one innovative product released with categories from hardware & software. The Awarded product will have the potential to impact businesses in the long run and make an impact in the lives of the mass population.
Rising Student ICT Award 2020: This award will be awarded in recognition of excellence of student’s innovation and product development in IT Sector. With this Award, they aim to strengthen the innovation skills of IT and Engineering students of ICT sectors in Nepal.
Innovation Driven Crisis Response ICT Award 2020: This award is introduced to recognize the innovation that was driven as a response towards the crisis caused by COVID-19 pandemic. Any product (hardware or software) that was primarily invented/developed to be pursued during the COVID-19 pandemic are eligible to apply for this category. Also, perspective/possibility of using such a product in possible future crises or pandemic will be an important criteria for judgement.
Pioneer ICT Award 2020: This award will be awarded to one individual who has contributed significantly in the promotion and development of ICT long since. They try to unveil such personality who has remained behind the scene but his/her contributions are unprecedented and undisputed.
Nepali Diaspora ICT Award 2020: This award will be awarded to one Nepali origin person who, though has remained outside but has made remarkable imprint in the international arena and has helped identify the country as internationally competent in global stage.
Entrepreneur ICT Award 2020: This Award will be awarded to IT Entrepreneurs of Nepal to recognize their ability and help them move ahead, who are shaping the arena in Nepal and beyond. Their experience, expertise and charisma have energized a whole generation of entrepreneurs.
Women ICON ICT Award 2020: This award will be presented to a model icon woman leader of ICT sector in Nepal. The award recognizes and celebrates females’ contribution in the tech-industry for their remarkable achievement.
Media Person ICT Award 2020: Media Person ICT Award is for those inspiring media personnel are who have made a significant contribution in using, promoting and disseminating ICT related information and knowledge among general public.
Digital Governance ICT Award 2020: This Award will be awarded to government organization who has been involved in promoting, using and enabling digital governance through their offices.
Digital Education ICT Award 2020: This Award will be awarded to recognize achievements of Schools and Educational institutions for their optimum utilization of ICT in education sector. This award will be awarded on the basis of implementation of digital education as an effective tool for learning service.
