Nominations are now open for The Open Group India Awards for Innovation and Excellence in the Use of Open Standards and Open Source 2022 will be held virtually in conjunction with The Open Group International Event in Washington D.C. on July 27, 2022.
It is a global consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through technology standards. Their diverse membership of more than 790 organizations includes customers, systems and solutions suppliers, tool vendors, integrators, academics, and consultants across multiple industries.
Open Group India Awards recognizes organizations and teams in the Southeast Asia region that have reached the pinnacle of achievement in applying their standards, open-source software, and best practices in Enterprise Architecture, IT management, cyber security, and digital transformation.
The mission of The Open Group is to drive the creation of Boundary less Information Flow achieved by:
- Working with customers to capture, understand and address current and emerging requirements, establish policies, and share best practices.
- Working with suppliers, consortia and standards bodies to develop consensus and facilitate interoperability, to evolve and integrate specifications and open source technologies.
- Offering a comprehensive set of services to enhance the operational efficiency of consortia.
- Developing and operating the industry’s premier certification service and encouraging procurement of certified products.
Categories
The Open Group India Awards for 2022 include the following categories:
- Enterprise Architecture.
- IT Management and Planning.
- Cyber security, Supply Chain Security, Trusted Provider.
- Digital Transformation, Open Source Software Data Platform for the Energy industry.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations from the public and private sectors are eligible to submit nominations.
- Nominations are open to organizations across the world having presence in Southeast Asia
- Any organization is eligible to submit nominations. Submitting organizations need not be members of The Open Group.
- Completed nominations are to be submitted online and nomination form is available.
- Completed nominations must be received no later than April 15, 2022.
- Organizations can submit more than one nominations in more than one category, but each nomination must be for a different project.
- Nominations Projects which have won an award in a previous year are not eligible to participate in this year’s awards.
- Submitters may be contacted by the evaluation team / members of the jury for interviews to collect further detail.
- Winners will be notified by June 30, 2022.
