The Digital Tourism Innovation hub (PHONEIX) is pleased to announce an extremely useful and the innovative event, to critically explore tourism challenges and innovative solutions, and competitive startups around them.
The event will take place in the Palestine Techno Park, on 30th June-2 July 2022, which will provide a unique platform for IT experts to display the useful abilities that they can offer the tourism industry.
Topics
There are five separate topics available for hackers to work on during the hackathon:
- ‘Converging technologies, act local’, which is very much aimed at mobile apps, robots, VR/AR, and more. to be designed for travelers in general. This could be boosted by increased exposure to successful cases in which digital technology promotes tourism.
- ‘Travel Wear’, which as the name would suggest is aimed at supporting and enabling the digital transformation of tourism enterprises and seeking to enhance productivity and innovation
- ‘Personalization: will focus on location-based applications, with a particular emphasis on data collection and social media.
- ‘Wings, wheels and beyond’, and will enable hackers to come up with apps related to a wide variety of transport.
- Finally, the Phoenix hub is encouraging the development of innovative solutions, smart growth, and the creation of new tourism services and products, with a focus on developing new functions, processes, and business models through the innovative use of digital technologies to enhance both tourism enterprises and destinations.
Eligibility Criteria
Startups from all over Palestine, ITC, and economic sectors are invited to participate if meeting the following criteria:
- Be innovative in nature providing value-added solutions
- Be sustainability-driven
- Be scalable: to have the potential for international growth and potential to be applied in corporations and destinations (countries, regions)
- Introduction or adoption of digital and technological elements.
