The Government of India is seeking applications for Women Climate Champions: ImpactAim SDG5 Accelerator Programme to help unlock the latent potential of Women Climate Entrepreneurs in India.
The platform aims to move beyond generic capacity building, targeting instead the key barriers to growth faced by Women Climate Entrepreneurs. This will be done through an approach that prioritizes hand holding support for the entrepreneurs, customized according to their sectoral and functional needs.
In addition to this, the platform will provide a spectrum of support services, from helping the entrepreneurs create linkages with relevant networks and market players, to supporting the most promising enterprises with financing and investor connects.

Incentives
Special Incentives: Administered over a period of 6 months the programme will entail the following:
- Support for 6 early-growth stage women climate entrepreneurs across India working on sustainable climate solutions
- Fully online and remote accelerator programme with 1:1 support
- Impact acceleration support will be provided to enterprises to align their work with the SDGs and amplify the social and environmental impact they are creating
- Leveraging existing partnerships and industry connections from UNDP, ReNew Power and IIT Delhi’s network
- Opportunities for business growth funding and investor connect
Eligibility Criteria
- Promising Women Climate Entrepreneurs leading for-profit Organizations
- Enterprises having at least one (or more) Women Founder/ Co-founders
- Early-stage start-up Founders (POC ready, Validation stage)
- Enterprises working in Energy Generation / Efficiency / Storage across Solar and Wind Energy, Hydro Power, WTE and Green Hydrogen.
