Deadline: 08-Oct-2025
The Echoing Green Fellowship Program seeks to identify, support, connect and amplify a global, multiracial, and multicultural movement of visionary social innovators who meet the wicked challenges of their time.
This Fellowship is designed for those who see possibility in the face of the greatest challenges and are motivated to lead long-term systemic change. Together with Echoing Green, these leaders strive to create a future free from systemic inequality where all people can thrive.
The Fellowship invests in leaders at the earliest stages of their ideas, supporting them at a critical time when financial, social, and other barriers are greatest. By doing so, Echoing Green safeguards the fragile yet creative period for innovators, ensuring a steady flow of new ideas and actors into society.
The program seeks applicants who are 18 years or older by June 1, 2026, proficient in English, and who are original founders or leading members of their organization’s founding team. Applicants must also be the primary decision makers, with the authority to shape the growth and vision of their organization, and committed to working full time on their proposed initiative throughout the 18-month Fellowship.
Organizations applying must operate independently and not under the control of a parent entity, although those with fiscal sponsors are eligible if autonomy is maintained. To qualify, organizations should be in their early stage of development, typically operating with full-time staff for less than five years or still in need of resources to become sustainable. Organizations whose primary work is lobbying or promoting a specific religious faith are not eligible. Additionally, no founding or leadership team member may have previously received an Echoing Green Fellowship.
The selection process emphasizes transformational ideas that address root causes, dismantle unjust systems, and create equity-centered solutions. Echoing Green looks for innovators who bring deep expertise, reflect the communities they serve, and involve those most impacted in co-designing solutions. Strong leadership qualities, coalition-building skills, and the ability to set a clear vision are also key factors in evaluation.
Applications must be submitted online through Echoing Green’s official application website before the specified deadline. Submissions sent via mail, fax, or email will not be accepted. Each applicant may submit only one application per cycle, and revisions cannot be made once submitted. Selected applicants will be notified in June or July 2026. Application closes on 8 October 2025.
